SUBMISSION

such a dangerous liason,
standing there with you,
accepting your wishes,
despite that in my heart,
letting you take only that
which you wanted,
not all that i felt.
so i stayed still
as your eyes racked my face,
and let you reach, caress my breast.
your touch was demanding,
your kisses rough,
letting that rush of desire
replace my common sense.
in that crowded room
with strange faces and voices,
i willed my submission,
foregoing my pride.
your eyes were cold,
your smile almost empty,
yet i chose not to decline.
you moved up against me,
your breath hot on my ear,
breasts pressed against mine.
you smelled of cigarettes and whiskey,
tasting of passion and fear,
so far from my quiet,
my ordered mundane days.
i willlingly rode a tiger
and simply could not stop.
still your fingers thrilled me,
your teeth on my skin,
taking me places i never had been.
the choice to ignore this desire...
i rather gave in.
wanting to call you darling,
to see love in your eyes,
not the harsh light of sin,
hunger and conquest,
and callous disregard.
you laughingly lied.
you said i was lovely,
said that you'd call.
i kissed you once tenderly
and cradled your face.
i held no foolish illusions,
regretting nothing but all
that might have been,
then let my eyes speak
all that my lips could not
just don't....
