The Ageless Womyn
Her body earthen brown
And toughened by the sun
Though she is growing older
Her days are far from done
Her book is not yet written
For her life is still the page
She has so much to share with us
That only comes with age
But they tell her
She's too old now
To do the things
She's done
And so in desperation
Her life ends---by the gun
Can't we learn from books unwritten
About things we have not known
She had so much to tell us
Did she have to be alone
Can't you see we all grow older
Our bodies hurt with age
Does it mean that books unwritten
Aren't worth the turn of the page
But they told her
She's to old now
To do the things
She's done
And so in desperation
My friend ended her life
With a bullet in a gun
