Thinking of my life and my longings
Saddened for reasons unknown
I can only stare at this empty page
Listening to my silent heart

My life has come to a brink
A juxtaposition within my mind
So as my thoughts wander
They touch upon my losses
And my lack of love

Is there someone out there
Marching to my quiet drum
Seeing the world as only I do
I can only shake my head and wonder
As I lay down my tired pen
