The Girl

Her eyes were as blue as the sky above;
Her personality was that of an open, honest
person who is a good friend
Her sense of humor was like a comedian on HBO

So why can't I see her fully?
Why is she only a dream?
Is it a dream that is tangible?
I hope so.
This girl looks like the perfect one in
anyone's world.
But somehow she's intangible from
where I am standing.

Should I talk to her or just watch from
across the room?
Playing it safe for awhile I'll watch her
to find out what she's really like
Then in a matter of time we will
be the best of friends

We are the best of friends-
or were until someone came along and took her away.
Why? She was the only one I could talk to and relate to.
Will I ever find one with the same qualities? Or
at least someone who will be frineds forever and not
for a few months.

I think in time I will.
She just won't have the chance
to be ripped from my life and heart.
That I'll always be sure of.
