And then she cast her eyes of silver blue upon me, Words failed to reach my lips, as the faintest trace of her perfume Grabbed hold the wind and rode upon its soft and gentle whisps Then settled deep within me I gave my heart away right then, though I doubt she truly knew. For my silence, which she being the very reason for, never reached her ear As a song of love, only that of hesitation and fear How could I, simply awe struck by her beauty, attempt to convey with Only words, the emotion she evoked within me, for she, with one glance, reached as deep as, indeed deeper, than anyone who came before and claimed my heart for her own.
I stumbled over silly words not sure if I even spoke aloud, And if her eyes had proven to steal my voice, then the smile She gifted me with would likely take my very breath Without fail she must be a phantom from my heart, an illusion Reminding me of my deepest dreams that will never come true, But as the sun rises and tastes the dew from every blossom without delay, Her hand reached out and touched me, shattering the dream into reality Walk with me, she spoke, and as much as her smile had stolen the very Breath from my body, her words breathed life into me I walked as If it were my first steps, excited with each step to come, Yet afraid of falling ungracefully to the earth, but surely as I would fall I would rise again in her forgiving eyes and walk by her side
