It's raining today
I want to
run outside
And dance in it
Throw back my head
Open my arms to it
Kneel on the ground
And stop
Feel each drop
As they hit
My body
And be thankful for
The sensations that
Each one brings
Sit and pause
Watch and listen
As the heavens
Weep with joy
Around me

On the damp grass

Kiss the raindrops

Letting nature
